Three grades of sharpening wheels (coarse, medium and fine) are all set at an angle to give face as well as tip sharpening.
It is one of the fastest and safest ways to sharpen knives due to the fact that the sharpening groove and the ceramic wheel are not parallel. The oblique angle of the ceramic wheel is able to restore the razor sharpness of the knife. The presence of water enhances the sharpening process.
This grey and black Minosharp 550 sharpener is suitable for both European and Japanese style knives. Not suitable for serrated knives or for traditional Japanese knives which are sharpened on one side only.
