About the Brand
Is Robert Welch a UK company?
Robert Welch still operates from the Old Silk Mill in Chipping Campden, which is set within the hills of the Cotswalds. This is where Robert Welch set up his very first workshop in 1955 after he graduated from the Royal College of Art. The design of Robert Welch cutlery still takes place here, and is still run by the Welch family - Robert’s children Rupert and Alice are now joint Managing Directors.
How sharp are Robert Welch Knives?
Robert Welch knives are often said to be among the best on the market. Made from German stainless steel with a blade sharpened to 15-degrees for exceptional sharpness, each Robert Welch knife represents fantastic quality and timeless design. Robert Welch has created a highly functional range of knives, including bread knives, vegetable knives, carving knives, a santoku knife and many more. Each knife has a comfortably curved handle for easy handling.
Can Robert Welch cutlery go in the dishwasher?
As Robert Welch cutlery is made from the finest quality stainless steel, they do require certain care instructions be followed.
Robert Welch cutlery should not go in your dishwasher, but instead should be washed with a soft cloth in warm soapy water. Do not soak. The cutlery should be dried immediately after washing and polished with a microfibre cloth for the best finish.
